Paint a Streak Across the Sky
You can spin a wondrous tale
Thoughts come pouring down like hail
Your will is set; firmly to prevail
Hoist your anchor and let your ship set sail
Paint a streak across the sky
Have you ever wondered why
there are those who live and those who die
the answers held in the violet sky
You can dance a beautiful dance
Wonder how much of fate is happenstance
Care enough to make your stance
Perceive it all, at first glance
You can build sandcastles in the air
Tell the world you just don't care
Pretend you didn't see that glare,
Some think that life just isn't fair
Search for something you'll never find
And they say that love is blind
Love is ripe but for a season
Treasure is not in possessions, but reason
