The sun signs. Also referred to as 'star signs' or horoscope or zodiac signs. Set up on a karmic wheel the signs are numbered as follows:
1) Aries 2) Taurus 3) Gemini 4) Cancer 5) Leo 6) Virgo 7) Libra
8) Scorpio 9) Sagittarius 10) Capricorn 11) Aquarius 12) Pisces
Aries - The Ram and also known as the baby of the zodiac. Youthful, energetic, full of vitality and encouragement. Aries is ruled by the head, so they are prone to injuries involving the head. They are confident, outspoken, sometimes brash and headstrong. They are pioneers in the truest sense. Aries men are very masculine and Aries women are very strong. They are courageous and noble, and willing to fight for what they believe in.
Taurus - depicted as a bull, or the toddler of the zodiac they are known for being stubborn. Taurus is demonstrative in their affections and sensual. Taurus is very earthy and they believe slow and steady wins the race and they are very persistent. Sometimes the only way to get what you want in life is through sheer persistence and they know this, and apply it to their goals. Taurus loves beautiful things and people.
Gemini - The twins. Also known for their split personalities, (they aren't called the twins for nothing) it might seem like there are two people living inside one body! Who was that masked man? Gemini is flighty, very changeable, flirty and communicative. Gemini is very charming. Gemini likes to talk, alot. Gemini has a need to analyze everything around them, people, places and things. Gemini can be superficial and shallow, and tends to only skim the surface of issues when sometimes a more in depth analysis is needed. Gemini is quick on the uptake, sharp and bright and are usually a very good judge of character.
Cancer - the crab. Cancer is known to be, well, cheap. Well, I wouldn't say cheap but they are frugal, economical, careful with their money. Ok, they're cheap. I have a Cancer friend who will call me and invite me out for coffee and they always 'forget' their wallet. I always end up paying, everytime! I know they do this on purpose because they invited me! Cancers are sometimes crabby. They typically do not hold their emotions back and let you have it full force, if you have upset them. Even if you haven't, they will tell you what is upsetting them and you will hear all about every little annoyance.
Leo - the Lion. The Lion can bed dramatic and often has very big hair. This King or Queen expects to be obeyed and you will hear the lion roar if they feel their reigning authority has gone unheeded or been ignored. The planet they are ruled by is the Sun and takes the top spot in astrology, hence perhaps their feeling of superiority. The lion is typically a generous and a warm host or hostess. Leo's are generous about everything they do, even if they can't really afford it. They have a love of luxury. Leo's have been known also to be egotistical.
Virgo - the Virgin. Out of all of the signs, Virgo is probably the most misunderstood. Virgo is decidedly a workaholic but it is because of Virgo's obligation they feel to society that they perform so well. Many people are counting on them and they take this responsibility very seriously. Virgo is deliberate, thourough and committed. Virgo is pure is spirit and is therefore represented by the Virgin. Virgo has an ingrained work ethic that just permeates everything they do. They are logical and organized and attentive to every detail.
Libra - The scales. Libra's are known for their beauty because they are ruled by the planet Venus. They have an innate ability to see both sides to every situation, and both sides to every argument. They can be very charming and persuasive if they want to be. Libra is known as the sign of partnerships, and this sign just doesn't feel complete without a partner in their life. Libra is a social pro at handling just about any situation that they find themselves in, they are very diplomatic and tactful.
Scorpio - The Scorpion. Magnetic, mysterious, alluring. Scorpio has no lack of admirers. Scorpio's play their cards close to their chest and many times will not reveal what they are really feeling. They are very sensitive but this is hard to discern because they hide behind their exterior shell. This is a deliberate defense mechanism they use for their own protection. Scorpio will use their stinger if they feel they've been crossed, and it is legendarily painful. Scorpio is loyal and expects the same froma partner in a relationship.
Sagittarius - The Archer. Philosophy and higher learning are associated with Sagittarius. Sagittarius has a need to wander and explore uncharted territory. Sag is also known as the 'sage' of the zodiac. Sag has a passion for life and love and may never truly 'settle down'. Happy-go-lucky is a good way to describe Sag. Sag prefers to stay active, even when they get older and they enjoy being outdoors much more than most.
Capricorn - The Goat. Capricorn is very goal-oriented and determined. Cappy sees the top of the mountain as their goal and once they have started climbing, they don't look back. Failure is not an option. They make caring, solid friends that will look out for you, and defend you if necessary. Cappy is not shy about what he or she wants and is willing to go to great lenghts and to sacrafice to get what they want and feel they deserve.
Aquarius - The Water Bearer. Aquarius is known as the humanitarian. They always perform better when there is some higher purpose or collective goal. Aquarius sees the larger view and is very open minded. Aquarius is the champion of the underdog and seeks to right the world's social and economical inequities on a large scale. Aquarius would do well at fund raising for charity or contributing to the greater good. Aquarius strives to make the world a better place.
Pisces - The Fishes. Pisces is ruled by the planet Neptune and it rules dreams, the sub-conscious, addictions and . Pisces is fluid and very changeable. There is a duality to the pisces nature and is seen as two fish swimming in opposite directions. Representing the fishes dilemna of being caught in between the physical world and being firmly anchored in the spiritual world. Pisces have an etheral quality to them and they are difficult to forget, yet they can pass in a crowd unnoticed. Go figure.
